Hey Dave… Good point! DMOZ is one of the least talked about yet important step in SEO for your website and MOST people are totally confused and baffled by it.. thus the reason for the post. Hope you managed to get your site in the queue.

Hi! Just “browsing” on Facebook and found someone who is a fan of your site/service…so started checking out your stuff — and it’s good!

One item was confusing: your blog entry on the DMOZ / Open Source Project. At no point in your blog is there anything that says what the heck DMOZ is! And why someone would want to be listed! Fortunately, your article had plenty of hyperlinks to DMOZ pages…so I was able to click around the DMOZ site, and learn on my own!

It may be that the revisions you want aren’t one’s that the editors are free to make. The guidelines for the title and description are very specific. The title can ONLY be exactly what the title is on the website, no key words, no repeats of the location and the description has the same type of guidelines, no key words, no “hyping” like we are a leader in the industry or #1 in customer satisfaction as that is subjective information. If your company has changed locations or you now sell beans instead of widgits, the editors will revise the original listing.
